I created my first installation artworks in the mid-70's, transferring fragments of notes, ideas and the detritus of my artmaking from the walls of my studio to the walls of the gallery.

I have continued creating installations both as site-specific works and as a backdrop for performance artworks in Mexico, Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia and the U.S.

A sense of autobiography has permeated my art since my first feminist performance in 1978 when I swept & claimed the corner of Spring & Wooster Streets in Soho near the loft where I still live and work.
